This reminds me of <A HREF="http://quantumbiodiscs.blogspot.com/2007/03/should-i-publish-research-ideas-on-my.html" REL="nofollow">a post a month ago by an Aussie physicist blogger</A> about the challenge of balancing the for speed in getting scientific ideas out there vs the need for correctness and credibility.<BR/><BR/>Basically what Michael says is that we won't "see blogs or some other form of technology take over from the old process of writing and refereeing papers" but that this might necessarily be a counterweight to the slower process of getting scientific ideas slowly out there by being refereed, etc and formally published.Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13539062417425067194noreply@blogger.com
