You should feel obliged to <br />a) treat all questioners with respect : even if they don't particularly deserve it, you need to establish a public precedent for nobody being ridiculed if they ask a question<br />b) treat your audience with respect (ie by not letting their tolerance be abused by this questioner)<br />c) answer this questioner, so as not to let his assumptions/accusations remain unchallenged<br /><br />If I had the presence of mind, I would try and interrupt them when they'd said more than enough and tell them what I thought of their opinion (briefly, directly, but politely) and emphasise that we are relying on the generousity of others with their time so we have to stop/ move on now<br /><br />So, i guess, my answer to your question is none of the three options: interrupt and then politely address themTom Staffordhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12749331875656699660noreply@blogger.com
